Ernest Turner Trio, Grand Prize-winners of the 2019 DC Jazz Festival’s DCJazzPrix competition, returns to Tribeca PAC! The Ernest Turner Trio's uniquely personal musical identity draws from Ernest's varied musical experiences and influences, which ranges anywhere from European classical music to African American musical art forms such as gospel, jazz, and hip-hop. With an affinity for harmonic and rhythmic exploration, spontaneous improvisation and -of course - the blues, the trio brings a fresh and unique perspective with their creative originals and re-imaginings of jazz and pop standards.
