A night of all female comedy! Calise Hawkins headlines an evening of laughter featuring some of the top African-American female comics performing today: Leighann Lord, Nicky Sunshine, and Pat Brown. Hawkins first gained exposure as a featured guest on Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil, and appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  She also co-wrote Totally Clueless and writes for Girl Code, both on MTV.  Leighann Lord has appeared on many stand-up comedy shows. As a comedic commentator, Leighann has pulled pundit duty on VH1 and MSNBC giving her informed and funny take on current events. Nicky Sunshine originated the role of Samana in the hit play Platanos and Collard Greens and most recently starred in The Vagina Monologues at New World Stages.  Pat Brown took home the prestigious honor of “Best Female Comedian” at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, 2013 and recently finished her first feature role in the independent film Somebodies.
