Freelance Sound Engineer

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center has limited but immediate openings for freelance A1 sound engineers. Sound engineers whose experience is only with recording and studio work should not apply. Must have strong skills in engineering and the set up of cabaret and big band jazz style shows. Previous experience with digital wireless microphones is required. Applicants must have at least 3 years professional, not classroom, experience with live performance front of house operation on analog and digital consoles. Familiarity with Yamaha and Soundcraft consoles is preferred. Troubleshooting and problem-solving of systems is equally preferred. Positions are freelance and work is scheduled on an as-needed, month-to-month basis. Applicants should understand that this is not a staff or part time position. Production Crew - posting ongoing

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center seeks freelance sound and lighting technicians for a Presenting/Rental two theatre venue.

Sound applicants must have at least two years professional, not classroom, experience with live performance front of house operation on analog and digital consoles. In addition, you should have a strong knowledge of wireless microphones and a strong background in varied applications using live sound reinforcement, not studio work.

Lighting applicants must have at least two years of professional experience and must be familiar with programming of lighting consoles (ETC ION preferred), focusing of a multiple instrument lighting plots, and working with designers.

Assistant House Manager

Job Details: 
Category: Administrative 
Assistant House Manager 

Duties: 
Supervised by Senior House Manager and will perform the following tasks:
House Management of events and receptions. 
Collect and coordinate event information and maintain files on events. 
Maintain house equipment. 
Supervise usher staff. 
Train new employees. Monitor personnel time sheets. 
Maintain daily theatre logbook. 
Various additional administrative duties. 

Qualifications: 
Required: Bachelor’s Degree, experience in house management, excellent interpersonal skills. Must be well organized and computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
Preferred: Knowledge of fire code restrictions and regulations. 

Salary: Low Twenties plus Health Benefits Available: Immediate.

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center is seeking energetic individuals for several usher positions. Ushers are responsible for taking tickets, distributing playbills, seating patrons, and attending to overall patron needs. Experience is preferred but is not necessary.
